Cane Corso Breeder in Alabama
At Capri Cane Corso we have two simple goals. Breed betterment by selective breeding. Breed preservation based on the history and current direction from the country of origin.
We breed our Cane Corsos to the Italian kennel club standard. We strive to be the best Cane Corso breeder in Alabama. We select for correct type, health, temperament and drive. We hold all this criteria equally important in planning a litter with the final goal of producing a better example of the breed with each breeding. We are thankful to have made friends with breeders and breed experts in Italy who have shared their knowledge and dogs from their lines with us. In 2007 we helped found the Society in America for Cane Corso Italiano or SACCI. In 2008 SACCI successfully presented the breed to the United Kennel Club and received full UKC recognition with the same breed standard as used in Italy. We will continue with our goals of breed betterment and Italian heritage preservation along with the help of SACCI, the UKC, our friends in Italy and of course the other breeders here in the US who share these philosophies.
